Seasons Greetings from MTM | Micro Trace Minerals!
"Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love."

Hamilton Wright Mabie

Thank you once again for your continued support and for the confidence that you have placed in us.

Like every year, we invested in research. Our Egyptian autism project started in 2017, in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Ehab Ragaa MD and Prof. Dr. Adel Hashish of the National Research Center in Cairo and the Department of Children with Special Needs. This project is still in progress. We had to order additional samples to statistically strengthen (or invalidate) existing results.

In 2017 and 2018, we collaborated with the University of Nigeria to evaluate how environmental pollution affects healthy and autistic children living in the Nigerian delta. Our studies, involving blood, hair and urine samples clearly showed that both groups carry a heavy metal burden. However, autistic children are more burdened. Our research paper Heavy Metals and Trace Elements in Blood, Hair and Urine of Nigerian Children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder was published this year in the International Research Journal of Public Health and can be viewed and downloaded on our website:

Gadolinium is a topic of great interest, and we have dedicated ourselves to evaluate if gadolinium-containing contrast agents can be chelated. Our previous and first investigation was published in the German journal Die Naturheilkunde 4/2018. Its statistical data showed possibilities. We therefore evaluated more data. The resulting research paper is now in the hands of Prof. Philip Valente of the University of Texas, editor-in-chief of the Open Access Journal Diagnostic Pathology. The article will be placed on our website soon after publication under:

During this holiday season, our office hours will be reduced from December 27, 2018 to January 7, 2019. Samples will be accepted on normal working days, but there will be a minor delay in report delivery. E-mails that require an urgent answer, should be addressed to ebb@microtraceminerals.com.

We all wish you Happy Holidays and a peaceful New Year.

All the best,
E. Blaurock-Busch, Yvette Busch and Team
